Hartley Jewelers Donates to Sand in the City 2014, Supporting Hands On Children’s Museum
For years, Hartley Jewelers has donated jewelry to the annual “Sand in the City” event held in Olympia, Washington to support the Hands On Childrens’ Museum. This year, Hartley Jewelers has donated a beach-themed charm bracelet valued at $350 to the silent auction on Friday, August 22nd, 2014 from 7-11pm.
All of the proceeds from Sand in the City directly support the Museum’s “Free and Reduced Admissions Program,” which makes it possible for thousands of families to access the Museum and its many educational programs regardless of their ability to pay. This past year the Museum served over 86,000 visitors through these Free and Reduced Programs, a 30% increase.
Hartley Jewelers proudly supports the community and the Museum. “It is fun to find the right jewelry that celebrates the atmosphere at Sand in the City. It is also deeply rewarding to know we are opening the doors to the Museum for families that otherwise could not afford it,” says Linda Hartley, manager and co-owner of Hartley Jewelers.
“I have grandchildren who participate in the museum,” she continues, “and it feels good to know that we help give other kids that same opportunity.”
Show your community spirit on Friday, August 22nd, 2014, from 7-11 pm by placing your bid on this fun whimsical piece of jewelry donated by Hartley Jewelers.
