Rick Hartley, along with his brother, Jim, began training their valuables skills when their father was stationed during Fort Lewis. They shaped a business as teenagers and quickly set themselves apart from other jewelers by matching skill and interpretation with knowledge and highly attuned education.
It was a home-based business for about 20 years, and has spent another 29 years or so in West Olympia, at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Cooper Point Road.
At Hartley Jewelers, you will not only find an extensive collection of beautiful ready-made jewelry, but also a truly unique collection of innovative custom made pieces created by our professional in-house team of goldsmiths and designers. We also do appraisals, repairs, heirloom restoration and buy gold.
Hartley Jewelers is a vibrant melting pot of precious metals and gemstones. It is also a treasure chest of stories and personal relationships. By letting us create jewelry for life’s special occasions, our loyal customers continue to enrich our lives every bit as much as we have enriched theirs.
We proudly support our local community and contribute to The St. Peter Hospital Christmas Forest, Children’s Hospital, Safeplace, St. Martin’s Scholarships, Capital High School, and Evergreen Christian School – just to name a few of our favorites.
OUR CUSTOMERS TESTIMONIALS
They have always been kind and willing to clean my rings and tighten them when needed. Their designs are gorgeous! They are not only professional, but treat you like a good friend.
“The employee from Hartley Jewelers who took my ring in to be sized was very helpful and professional. She gave me ring care tips when I was not expecting them. She was honest about my ring’s condition and told me that I should watch for the loosening of the stones. When I picked up my finished ring, she made sure I knew about their free services. With me probably being a younger client of her’s, I appreciated that she treated me with respect and that she shared her knowledge with me. I am glad that Hartley Jewelers was recommended to me.”
